A Word From Our Minister
Welcome to our web site. We are happy that you have chosen to visit us here
and hope that you find this place helpful. I want to share a brief word about
our fellowship at First Baptist Piedmont.
Acts 2:42 gives a brief statement about the characteristics of the lifestyle of
the early church. The characteristics were a devotion to the apostles’
teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to intercessory prayer.
These characteristics are as needed in the 21st century as they were in the 1st
century of the Christian Era.
The First Baptist Church of Piedmont is a fellowship of Christians who meet to
worship God and live out these characteristics. They have been our cardinal
virtues since our founding in 1879. The people of First Baptist truly share in
the good, the difficult, and the everyday events of life, thereby lifting each
other in the Christ’s love. We are dedicated to the service of humanity and to
the mission task of the whole Christian church.
